God is in the small moments

Hi, everyone!

I hope you are having a great week! :)

I kind of took off the day today from writing related things and it was nice to change perspectives a little bit and enjoy the day while going for a walk with my mom and then ending at the beach which was beautiful and quite windy.

I loved spending this day not being a writer, but at the same time, I found myself still falling into my writerly ways.

And here’s where I wanted to tell you guys something important.

I think sometimes, as writers, we get overwhelmed by our own minds and the stories that we tell ourselves and the characters who join us on all of our real life adventures.

It’s so important to take time, even if it’s small, to enjoy the story that is your life, too. Your characters will still be there when you return to them. Your plot and world building will always be one word away, but your life, your day to day habits and the people you share them with are so important to your life. God has put you here, in this very spot, so that you can also be part of the great story He’s writing in our lives.

I’m telling you this because I know how difficult it can be to appreciate those small moments. The small, personal and maybe even quiet, moments that make up your life and are reminders of God‘s love for you.

Again, I know how hard it is to escape your own mind, but when I say it is the most beautiful story you will ever experience, I mean it. I’m still learning this and learning how to create my worlds and live my life for God as one of the greatest gifts He’s ever given me.

I hope you have an amazing weekend and I pray that God gives you peace to take each moment at a time and the ability to savor all that He’s doing in your life! :)
