“Two Roads Diverged…”
Hi, everyone!
What do you do when you’re conflicted by choices that are both good and hold promises? Both bring with them different risks and opportunities and yet, you’re still faced with the dilemma that is the “what if?”.
Tonight I was watching a few videos related to my irl business. All good information and advice, but when I finished watching the last one I found myself saying, “How much do I want this?”
See, I could see myself doing both Youtube/blogging and this business- but only one, though.
It would hurt both of them if I were to keep going forward like this, but I have so much invested in both that I don’t feel like I can quit.
I’m borderline on both fronts and I don’t know what to do. Neither venture has provided the return I was hoping for, mostly because I know the biggest obstacle is me.
I previously talked about conflict and how it is important to both us as people as well as writers. Tonight, I strongly feel the conflict and the hesitation. I was scrolling through my Canva designs and you know what I saw?
SO. MANY. DESIGNS.
I saw business cards for my irl business.
I saw thumbnails for my Youtube videos.
I saw flyers and blog post images and pricing charts and pricing guides…
It’s overwhelming to say the least. I had my Youtube channel before my business and thought my business would help support me until I got my channel off the ground. Yeah, unrealistic goal, I know, but still, I can’t have my cake and eat it, too. (I finally figured out that phrase after years lol! Yay! :P)
Both ventures are growing, even starting to show the first signs of leaves on the branches and I love both of them.
Both will bring joy and blessings to other people in my life.
And both will be worth it, I believe.
But I can’t stay in this limbo.
I need to make a choice.
So the question is, will I say: “and that has made all the difference?” when I have made my decision?
How about you? Are you between an important decision and in it wondering what choice will be best for you?
I wish I could make the choice easy for you, but what I can say is that having a choice is one of the most beautiful gifts God can give us. He loves us so much and He gave us free will and the ability to make choices like the ones I’m facing above or the ones you’re facing right now. God’s with you and He will help you make the choice that’s weighing on you. As I face my choice, I pray that God guides you towards the choice that will best reflect His love in your life and be a blessing to you as well as to others in your life. :)
Thanks for reading!
