Random notes are my specialty
Hi, everyone!
I hope you guys had an amazing Christmas! (Hopefully the timing of this post actually makes sense!)
Okay, so, I’ve been playing around with this new video and I love the thumbnail. I feel like it’s more vulnerable because it talks about self-doubt and about me being the type of person that can actually do YouTube.
One of the things that I’m really enjoying is just being transparent about my struggles either personally or as I try to branch out on YouTube or here on my blog. I feel like a lot of times people just say, “oh, I struggled with xyz when I first started, but it does get easier!” Or something to that respect and then it doesn’t really help someone who‘s just starting to grow in that area of their own life or business or anything else.
I want my content to be relatable and real and I want it to reach that person who is facing their own haunts as they try to take that step forward to the life they dream of.
When I first started out as a writer, I thought, write the book, publish the book, then earn money from writing that book. Yeah, the reality is far from that, but that’s actually a good thing (and quite possibly a great thing!).
I love writing, but I’ve come to really enjoy creating videos and playing Minecraft and if there’s a way for me to make money doing what I love, I want to do it! Of course, any writer or content creator understands the struggles because these same struggles come in different waves and then the struggles return again and again. It’s not like the tv shows or movies where a character faces one major challenge and is free from it at the end.
It’s a daily battle, but it’s rewarding.
And this is coming from a girl who doesn’t know what she’s doing and she‘s almost broke without even having a book in the process of being published yet.
But that’s okay. Becoming a writer is about more than just putting words on a page and getting those pages published.
It’s digging into who you are as a person and who God created you to be and helping others realize the same.
For me, I’m realizing more and more how broken and a mess I am.
But it’s okay.
Brokenness is where God mends things and heals them.
Messes are where God can create new life and bring peace to the chaos of whatever comes our way.
If you’re a writer, content creator, or anyone else who might be facing struggles that seem to be holding them back, then I encourage you to reach out to God and ask Him to direct your path.
Warning: it’s not easy, but it’s worth it.
Thanks for reading!
